The Philadelphia Flyers and forward Zack MacEwen agreed to a contract on Tuesday according to the organ-I-zation. The contract is a one-year deal with an average annual value (AAV) of $925,000. per the official release.
MacEwen had originally filed for salary arbitration.
The Flyers selected the 26-year old off of waivers from the Vancouver Canucks on October 13, 2021. He signed a 3-year deal with Vancouver in 2017 after going undrafted.
MacEwen played 75-games with the Flyers during the 2021-22 season and tallied nine point (3G, 6A), -15 +/-, and 115 penalty minutes. He accounted for more fights, 12, than points.
The Flyers are now one step closer to the Stanley Cup with a fresh contract for their fourth line, mucker and grinder.
