The Philadelphia Flyers announced the re-signing of restricted free agent Owen Tippett. The two-year deal is worth an average annual value (AAV) of $1.5 million.Tippett was acquired by the Flyers on March 19 from Florida as part of the Claude Giroux trade.
The 23-year old recorded seven points (4G, 3A), averaged just over 15-minutes of ice time a game in 21-games with the Orange and Black.
Tippett has appeared in 115 NHL games over the past four seasons with the Flyers and Panthers. His career high for games played was last season, 63-games between the two clubs. The 2021-22 season also marked Tippett’s career high for points with 21-points (10G, 11A) and average ice time (13:52/game).
The 6’1, 207 lb winger was the 10th overall pick of the Panthers in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
