Joe Rogan confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19 after not feeling well over the weekend. Rogan announced he had to cancel his tour date in Nashville due to the prognosis. He assured fans that he’s doing well thanks to “all kinds of meds: monoclonal antibodies, Ivermectin, Z-Pack, Prednisone, everything.” He was not vaccinated.
Watch Rogan’s statement:
The comedian/MMA commentator hasn’t been anti-vaccination, he believes those who need it should get it, but he’s very vocal that healthy people should fight the disease, and all diseases, with their own immune system. Rogan is also known for touting “alternate” therapies and being strongly anti-vaccine mandates.
For the record, as I’ve said multiple times on In The Fight Show, I agree with many of Rogan’s theories for health such as diet and use of CBD, marijuana however touting a drug that is traditionally used for livestock is problematic. Yes, I know that Ivermectin is also used on humans however that’s at a drastically lower dose and the idiots who are going to Tractor Supply to get it don’t know that.
By not explaining that he was given a lower dose, as prescribed by a physician FOR HUMAN USE , he’s driving his base, which includes at least 20.1 million social media follower , towards a potentially fatal decision. I respect Rogan for his takes, whether I agree with them all or not, but he needs to make it known that he’s not going to the local feed store and chugging a bottle of this drug.
