Per WrestleTix, July 14’s AEW Dynamite in the Austin suburb of Cedar Park, Texas has sold out. The event at the H-E-B Center is set to be the first night of Fyter Fest and is the second event for AEW away from Daily’s Place.
There was a lot of questions whether or not wrestling fans would be willing to flock back to arenas after zero or limited crowds during the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s been reported that WWE has had some issues selling tickets for their live events but it should be noted they’re running house shows in addition to TV events. MLW’s Court Bauer was on Sirius XM’s Busted Open and he announced that MLW’s return to Philadelphia as nearly sold out.
AEW’s ticket sales are strong for their return to the road with sold out or close to sold out events. Road Rager and Fyter Fest Night 2 are expected to be or close to being sold out events.
It seems like the appetite for the wrestling fan is still there.
