Chris Weidman had successful surgery after snapping his leg on Saturday night against Uriah Hall. Weidman threw a kick to open the bout which Hall checked, during the exchange Weidman’s shin made contact under Hall’s knee and broke,

Weidman took to his Instagram to thank his supporters and update the fans on his progress.


“The All American” expects to be on crutches for eight weeks and be out of the Octagon for six months to a year.

“I think it’s gonna be eight weeks until I can walk without crutches and stuff, and drive and all that. And then as far as training, I don’t know yet. They said between six and 12 months, I’ll be good to go. I’m trying to find the blessing in disguise, the silver lining of this.
