Welcome to “3 Up 3 Down” IMPACT our unique version of power rankings.  IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion PPV was a monumental night for professional wrestling.  Let’s look at the “3 Up” from Rebellion.

AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega

The night belonged to “The Cleaner.”  Omega defeated Rich Swann to unify the AEW World Heavyweight and IMPACT Heavyweight championships.  As pointed out by Tommy Dreamer on Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio, this is the first true title unification between North American promotions in nearly 30-years (WWF buying WCW doesn’t count).  Omega now holds the AEW, IMPACT, and AAA titles.  What championship will be the next target for Omega?

All Elite Wrestling

Tony Kahn and company won the night.  His guy walked out of a “rival” wrestling company’s pay-per-view with the company’s premier title.  Omega, and by extension the AEW brand, will appear on all IMPACT Wrestling related shows until “The Cleaner” loses the championship.  That’s a win for AEW any way you slice it.

William Morrissey

William Morrissey the wrestler but more importantly William Morrissey was a HUGE (pun intended) winner coming out of Sunday’s Rebellion PPV.  The former Big Cass has had his fair share of well-document issues over the past few years.  Morrissey detailed his struggles with Busted Open Radio over the weekend.  Listen to it here, it’s worth your time.  Morrissey has done everything to right his life and now it’s paying off with an opportunity to resurrect his career in the squared circle.
