History was made on Friday night and it was absolutely filthy.!
“Filthy” Tom Lawlor out lasted Brody King on the weekly episode of NJPW Strong to win the New Japan Cup USA tournament and become the first ever NJPW Strong Openweight Champion.
This isn’t Lawlor’s first taste of pro wrestling gold. The former UFC star spent 154-days as MLW World Champion in 2019.
Lawlor was immediately challenged by fellow tournament participant Chris Dickinson.
NJPW Strong airs weekly on FITE TV and NJPW World.
